Product Description

Tollisan Amphotericin-B is a specific antifungal treatment developed to combat megabacteriosis, an infection caused by Macrorhabdus ornithogaster that mainly affects the proventriculus of birds.

This condition is common in canaries, budgerigars, psittacines and other ornamental birds, and is characterized by progressive weight loss, apathy, digestive disorders and weakening of the immune system. Unlike other digestive infections, megabacteria does not respond to conventional antibiotics, therefore requiring a specific antifungal such as Amphotericin-B.

Its liquid formulation (100 mg/ml) allows for precise and homogeneous dosing, both in drinking water and soft food.

Directions for Use & Dosage

Treatment

Administer for 20 consecutive days:

• 2 ml per 1 liter of drinking water


• or 2 ml per 1 kg of soft food / egg food

For best results, the following combined protocol is recommended:

• Amphotericin-B for 20 days


• Med. Tollyamin Forte: 15 ml per liter of water during the same 20 days


• Kombi-Mix: 2.5 g per liter of water during the first 5 days

Prevention

The best prevention against megabacteria is to keep the birds’ immune system strong, especially after exhibitions, competitions or the introduction of new birds.

Recommended preventive program (2–3 days per week):

• 10 ml pH-Control Bronchial


• 20 ml Med. Tollyamin Forte


• 15 ml RopAdeno


• 1 ml Dosto-Oregano Flüssig 12%

per 3 liters of drinking water.
