◈ How and When to Use Prowins Megabac Plus

One of the strong points of this product is its effectiveness in prevention, but this can only be achieved with regular and adequate use of the product. It is for this reason that it is recommended to use it throughout the year.

As a preventive:

- General recommended dosage: 1 measuring spoon (5gr approximately) of product per 1 liter of water or 500gr of feed.

• During breeding: we apply a preventive treatment for 4-5 consecutive days every 6 weeks until the end of the breeding period.


• During the weaning of the chicks: Preventive treatment for 3 consecutive days.


• During the contest and exhibition season. Preventive treatment for 3 consecutive days between contests and shows.


• During moulting: At the beginning of moulting, preventive treatment for 3 consecutive days. Repeat the treatment at the middle of the molt and at the end of the molt.

◈ In case of illness:

If we observe birds with symptoms or suspect that there are infected specimens, we will apply a treatment of 5 gr of product for 7 consecutive days. We wait 10 days and, if symptoms persist, we will apply a new treatment.

◈ How to increase your effectiveness

 Tip: 

In case of acute disease, when we have sick pigeons, which do not eat enough feed or suffer from a very acute general poor condition, we can combine Prowins SalmoX Powder with Prowins Probibac Forte; this will considerably increase the effectiveness of the treatment.
Simply dissolve a small amount of Probibac Forte in a small amount of water and, using a syringe, apply directly to the beak for 3 consecutive days. After these 3 days of shock, apply Probibac Forte with the normal dosage for 7 more days. The results are spectacular.
